Overview of the Process:
- At the start, the student needs to spend 30 minutes with the teacher daily for classwork until 2 parts/Juz are memorized.
- The class time is then increased to 60 minutes per day, 5 days a week.
- Students are supposed to finish assignments at home, spending between sixty and 120 minutes every day for practice.
- Although this time may vary, a student usually completes the memorizing of the Holy Quran online in three years.
Steps to Memorize Quran Online:
1) New Memorization ( New Lesson)
This includes the number of verses a student memorizes daily, ranging from 7 lines to a full page, depending on memory capacity and time.
2) Newly Memorized Portion ( Sabaqi)
This involves revising verses memorized in the last 10-15 days, ensuring they remain firm in memory.
3) Old Memorization Portion
This refers to reviewing and reciting portions previously memorized. Once a student memorizes the entire Quran, this step becomes the primary focus to retain what has been learned.
The student must be able to read Arabic words. He/she must be proficient in vowels, sukoon, madd, tanween, and shaddah, as well as having finished Quran Reading once. If you are unfamiliar, you first need to complete the Quran Reading Course before beginning Quran memorization.
An environment free of distractions maximizes lesson effectiveness, allowing students to focus solely on memorizing verses. Consistent practice—both in-class and outside class—often translates into quicker progress. Recording your own recitations can serve as an excellent self-check method, letting you compare your reading to the tutor’s standards.
